I've read a few problems on this model also (some of you received a defective disk, other one said it was noisy). Finally, I received the hard drive and I put it directly in the NAS DS-213. No problem... it works niquel, and is silent. Much quieter than the other hard disk that I added then (Samsung HD204UI, 5400 rpm). Good purchase for me.. It is a basic product very useful when one does not have a card reader built into the pc. Its only drawback is the width of the product (but by nature, it is impossible to reduce below the size of an SD card) that can condemn a second USB socket adjacent to it. The use of a USB extension cord allows, if necessary, to work around this problem. Very good report quality/price to this day. I find that this key is fast and its capacity is 29go and dust, based on the properties displayed by Windows. The only caveats are its size because it is so small that I'm afraid of losing it, and the cap is hard to remove. Perfect for storing his data, but I found two problems : it seems that it is necessary to download a driver to install completely, I've never done because I never found that driver (I am may be zero), and a shelf life of two years.
